Our Holiday by Fritz, Part 3

Fritz here, just to let you know we are back home at Bunny Burrows HQ after our little holiday.  While we were away our living quarters have had a full refit and its nice the be back.  Here’s a few pics from our first few days home.

Meanwhile, back at our holiday complex…

Meet Aura

This is Aura, who came to Bunny Burrows after being found straying in Tunstall.  Her fur was really badly matted. Gwen had got a lot of the matts off her before she went to live with foster carer Steph, then she got one of the vet nurses (another Steph!) to clip her.

Attempt one was without sedation, but after making a start they decided to try again with sedation. Her back legs were pinned to her side, her front legs pinned to her sides and she had one huge solid matt like a scarf round her neck.

And the spiky thing was a blade of very pointy hay that was actually stuck in her skin. She’s now less angry and grumpy already, presumably because the hair isn’t pulling on her skin 24/7 any more!

 Aura

The photo is before during and after!  Also, she’s called Aura as she’s moved in with a boy named Aqua, so it’s Aqua Aura as in the crystal!

Our Holiday by Fritz, Part 2

Hello, Fritz here again.  Just an update from our holiday home.  Think of this as like a postcard, except hopefully you’ll read this before we get home, unlike postcards which arrive 6 weeks later.

Unfortunately the weather has not been as nice this week so we’ve not played out as much, but we’ve still had fun!

Hans makes himself at home

Over the last few weeks Hans has made himself at home, settling into the life of a house bunny.  He climbs up on chairs to sit with Hettie and is constantly nudging feet looking for attention.  His head wound is healing nicely and fingers cross won’t be a problem any longer.

Our Holiday By Fritz, Part 1

Hello.  My name is Fritz (full time Bunny Burrows resident) and I’m currently on my holidays at a Bunny Burrows foster home while the garage at Bunny Burrows HQ has a refit.  Me, Gigi (my girl), Rasputin and his two girls, and little bunny McVitie made the short journey last Sunday.

Since then we’ve had fun playing out in the garden, meeting the locals (who aren’t too sure about me for some reason) and generally pigging out.

Hopefully  next week we’ll be visiting the seaside, going on a roller coaster and eating lots of ice cream!

Amos and Mischief

It is with great sadness we announce that Bunny Burrows resident and sponsor bunny Amos has recently pass away. He had been struggling with his breathing for some time and despite the best efforts of the vets he past away at home with his partner Mischief.

Mischief was lost for the first few days without him but has since taken another bunny under her wing (do rabbits take things under their wings?) She is now living with new Bunny Burrows resident Henley Hanson (or H for short).

Henley has a couple of long term health issues so will fit right in with all the other creaking gates here!
