Hans came to us in May 2016 after being found on an allotment. When health checking we found multiple old infected wounds on his face and his teeth were in poor condition.
After a number of surgical procedures and the risk of losing his ear Hans transformed from a very poorly rabbit into the handsome, cheeky and loving boy he is now. He then found fame when he became a runner up in the PDSA Pet Survivor of the Year 2016 award.
Here Hans is pictured with Gretel, who also arrived in 2016 after being found in a Build a Bear Workshop box with her sister. Due to severe dental disease she could not be rehomed.
Hans and Gretel both have had their front teeth removed as a result of their dental disease and now live together in Gwen’s front room, although it wasn’t love at first sight!
